About ZBPO

ZBPO — Zycord Block Production Observatory provides reproducible observations of block production by reward address.

Why this report exists

An individual block tells you which reward address appears in its header. ZBPO brings those observations together across four defined windows, with counts, a Top N chart and complete CSV rankings that can be checked from archived headers.

Miners can inspect address-level block production without treating it as a list of actual miners. Community members can ask reproducible questions about the same population. Technical reviewers can reconstruct the counts and challenge an output using its exact inputs.

Alongside existing tools

ZBPO complements the Zycord Explorer and network tools. An Explorer helps inspect individual blocks and transaction records; this report supplies bounded, reproducible address distributions and complete ranking files. It does not replace a node, an Explorer, pool records or consensus validation.

Author & Project Independence

Author: Gabriele Soranzo. ZBPO (Zycord Block Production Observatory) is an independent, unofficial, open-source initiative created and maintained by Gabriele Soranzo.

Independent Project Disclaimer

ZBPO is not affiliated with, sponsored, endorsed, or officially maintained by the Zycord project, its developers, or its governing entities. References to Zycord identify only the blockchain being analyzed.

ZBPO provides reproducible observations of block production by reward address. Its reports do not constitute an official assessment of network security, decentralization, or miner ownership.

Origin of the idea

The idea was inspired by shadow_69's public suggestion concerning reproducible chain-health reporting. That recognition does not imply formal endorsement by shadow_69, the Zycord team, a Miner Seat holder or the community.

ZBPO is independent of official roles and appointments. Reward addresses do not identify independent miners or controlling entities: pools may combine work from many miners, and one operator may use several addresses.

Public-service policy

The following policy applies to this public service.

ZBPO is an independent, free-to-access, open-source observatory. Its reports, methodology and source code are publicly available. No registration or payment is required to access the reports.

Reports, source and exact evidence are freely accessible without registration or payment.

Reproducible and maintainable

Each report points to a source revision, versioned headers and manifests, report and CSV checksums, and an independent count reconstruction. Findings can be reproduced after the snapshot expires. The verification path makes those checks available to other reviewers.

Original software and documentation are MIT-licensed. The source, runbooks, pinned inputs and GitLab-based architecture allow other maintainers to continue the project, subject to hosting permissions and service limits. No continuously running personal VM is required.
